How to ‘rock’ gift wrapping

Post 38 of 61

A well wrapped gift shows some one you care and takes your gift to the next level.  It does not matter what the value of the gift , it is the thought and consideration put into it… including the wrap! Gift wrap does not have to be expensive. Here are a few tips to get you started.

For the wrap…

- plain brown craft paper or plain white paper looks amazing with a black ribbon and a sprig of evergreens. Newspaper , sheet music, fabric,  even pages from an old book can make fantastic wrapped gift.

For the topping…

- Use an ornament that the gift recipient can use in their tree and be reminded of your lovely gift.

- Twine, lace, wool, floral, sprigs of fern or evergreen. Or recycle lace, leather, ribbon or trim from old clothing. For inspiration on how these can be put together , check out our Pinterest page “All Wrapped” at https://www.pinterest.com/expressionskel/

For a more professional look…

- Wrap the paper neatly and tightly around the gift cutting off excess paper.  Fold over the edges or the wrap and hide the tape. Gently crease all the edges of the gift box to give it neat crisp edges.
