Tips for January Decorating

Post 11 of 67

It always seems so sad and empty when all the lights and bling of Christmas decorations come down.   In January we are more laid back – rather read a book or watch a movie than go out in the cold. So think warm and cosy when decorating…
- winter decor is more natural textures and soft calming muted tones.
- we live in a forest and near a skiing mecca so its okay to decorate with pine cones and greens of pine or fir all winter long. Just no red berries.
- lots of candles always give a warm and cosy inviting feeling.
- faux fur or knit throws are not only great to snuggle in but they make the whole room look warm.
